Our goal is to provide exceptional quality, unique teas, grown with respect to the workers and the environment.
What We Believe
We believe that everyone deserves respect and fairness. That world peace is not a lost cause. That tea creates a bridge between cultures allowing us a chance to cross and get to know each other. We believe that those who grow tea deserve a fair wage, decent housing, education, and health care. We believe in the power of education and in giving back to our community. We believe that what we do today to our environment will affect our children’s future.
What we do differently
Sourcing Tea
It is our ultimate goal to carry teas and herbals with both USDA Organic certification and Fair Trade Certification. We understand that some growers, while using organic methods and practicing fair trade, are not yet able to achieve certification. In these situations we are willing to buy from these gardens and by our support (and yours) help them achieve such certifications.
Sourcing China and Accessories
Our selections are carefully chosen with safety, usefulness, beauty, and longevity in mind. We believe in working closely with our suppliers to ensure that products are manufactured properly. We offer a full refund for any product found to be defective in manufacture at any time.
In our business
While not sacrificing the freshness and safety of our teas and herbals, we follow “green” practices in our business. We aim to be a completely “paper-free” office environment, use bags and packaging with minimal effect on the environment, and use energy-efficient methods for electricity and water usage.
In our community
We are active participates in and donors to: The Boy Scouts of America, The American Cancer Society and Relay for Life, Breast Cancer Resource Center of Round Rock, Faith in Action Caregivers (elder care), and many other organizations in our community helping those in need. Some of our teas are dedicated to specific causes. Profits from the teas listed below are donated to the organizations listed.
